The AWTF, located on Kiwanis Drive, takes tertiary treated effluent from the wastewater treatment plant and further treats it by microfiltration and then disinfects the finished product by ultraviolet light. The reclaimed water from this facility is stored in aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) wells or is used to fill Fountain Lake.
