Advanced Water Treatment Facility

Since February 2001, the Advanced Water Treatment Facility (AWTF) has used ultra-filtration membranes and UV light disinfection to treat all wastewater collected by the District. Our treatment facilities, in combination with five aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) wells, can manage seasonal shifts in recycled water supply and demand, making the treated water safe for reuse in irrigation.
