COLLECTION SYSTEM OPERATOR TRAINEE

We are seeking a reliable, career-driven individual who is mechanically inclined or with construction experience to join our team.  This is an entry-level position where you will have the opportunity to learn the operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of the District’s sewer collection, pump station, and recycled water distribution systems and their components.    

Applicant must possess an AZ driver’s license, and have a clean driving record.  A pre-employment drug test and background check are required. The applicant must be able to obtain within six months of hire, a Wastewater Collection Operator Certification issued by the ADEQ and a Commercial Driver’s License.

PROJECT MANAGER ENGINEER

The Fountain Hills Sanitary District is looking for a Project Manager Engineer to assist with managing and administering the District’s system and facility improvement projects.  The position will administer and oversee the design and construction of projects that extend, replace, or improve the District’s collection system infrastructure, wastewater treatment plants, and reclaimed water storage wells and distribution systems.  The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, exercises sound judgment and has a knowledge of Federal, State, and local requirements affecting the planning, design, construction, and operation of a sanitary district/wastewater utility.

The District offers a great work culture, competitive salaries and benefits, including generous health plans, Arizona State Retirement System, paid sick leave, vacation leave, and 100 hours of paid holidays per year. The hiring range for this position is $84,300 to $110,000, depending upon direct relatable experience and level of responsibility. The position is scheduled for full-time, but maybe part-time if needed by the best-suited candidate. Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Arizona is required within 12 months of hire. The applicant must possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license with no major citations within the past 39 months prior to the start date. A pre-employment drug screening and background check are required.
