COLLECTION SYSTEM OPERATIONS MANAGER

Fountain Hills Sanitary District is looking for a highly motivated professional to serve as its Collection System Operations Manager.  The primary function of this position is to oversee the operation, maintenance, inspection, repair, installation and extension of the District’s wastewater collection system. This position is also responsible for assisting in the maintenance, inspection, repair, installation, and extension of the District’s reclaimed water distribution system.

The Collections System Operations Manager must be able to utilize a computerized maintenance management system for producing and completing work orders, follow proper procedures for the requisition and purchasing of equipment and supplies, and supervise 10-12 collection system staff in safe practices for the cleaning, inspection and repair of the sanitary sewer system.

The District offers a great work culture and competitive salaries and benefits, including generous health plans, Arizona State Retirement System, paid sick leave, vacation leave, and 12 paid holidays per year. The current salary range for the position is $87,900 – $123,600 and will depend upon qualifications and direct relatable experience.

Applicant must possess a current Grade 4 Arizona Department of Environmental Quality Wastewater Collection System Operator Certification.  Direct supervisory experience is required.  Applicant should have an AZ driver’s license and a clean driving record.  A CDL license is desirable.  A pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check are required.

COLLECTION SYSTEM OPERATOR I-IV

The Collection System Department is under new management with a strong commitment to safety, personnel development, and job satisfaction.

Fountain Hills Sanitary District is looking for two (2) highly motivated individuals to assist in the operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of the District’s Sewer Collection, Pump Station, and Recycled Water Distribution Systems and their components. The ideal applicant will have the ability to perform assigned maintenance and construction responsibilities according to established procedures.  In addition, the applicant will have the ability to learn the operations of specialized equipment, basic computerized software programs, interpret operational and technical manuals, maps, blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.

The District offers a great work culture and competitive salaries and benefits, including health plans, Arizona State Retirement System, paid sick leave, vacation leave, and 12 paid holidays per year.  The pay range for the position is $21.00 to $43.61 per hour, depending upon certification and experience level.

The applicants will already have or be able to obtain within one year of hire, a Wastewater Collection Certification issued by the ADEQ.   Prior experience in Collections is desirable.

LABORATORY SUPERVISOR

The Fountain Hills Sanitary District is looking for a highly motivated professional to serve as its Laboratory Supervisor.  The position is responsible for performing and supervising the chemical and microbiological analyses of wastewater and reclaimed water, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and verify the efficiency of the treatment processes.  The incumbent is responsible for supervising professional staff in day-to-day laboratory operations and determining needed changes to treatment process operations to adjust efficiency.  This position works under the general supervision of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations Manager but is carried out with a high degree of independent judgment in accomplishing the work.  This is a District safety-sensitive position in accordance with Arizona law.

MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Fountain Hills Sanitary District is looking for a highly motivated professional to serve as its Maintenance Department Manager.  The primary function of this position is to oversee the maintenance and repair of the District’s fleet vehicles, various mechanical equipment, and its wastewater pumping and treatment equipment.  The Maintenance Manager must be able to utilize a computerized maintenance management system for producing and completing work orders, follow proper procedures for the requisition and purchasing of tools and supplies, and supervise the mechanic staff to accomplish needed repairs and preventative maintenance.

The District offers a great work culture and competitive salaries and benefits, including generous health plans, Arizona State Retirement System, paid sick leave, vacation leave, and 12 paid holidays per year. The current salary range for the position is $87,900 – $123,600 and will depend upon qualifications and direct relatable experience.

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC (FLEET)

Fountain Hills Sanitary District is looking for a reliable and experienced light-duty and heavy-duty fleet mechanic. Experience to include hydraulics, air brakes, A/C, power train, engine cooling, and driveline. Experience with electric carts, backhoes, dump trucks, vactor trucks, forklifts, generators, and various other equipment. Performs regular maintenance as well as emergency repairs, repairs in the shop, or the field depending upon need. Knowledge of welding, cutting and fabrication is desired.

Applicant must possess a valid AZ driver’s license and have a clean driving record. Applicants selected for employment will be required to obtain a Class B AZ CDL with tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire. A pre-employment drug screening and background check are required.
